Tandav (Classical group dance)
Mesmerising performances that take you on a trip to the cosmos. Witness the entire colours of India that blend into an evening of brilliance.
All forms of Indian Classical Dance are permitted including folk dances and other ethnic renditions. Participants are free to choose any theme and perform a sequence on the theme.
Eliminations: Teams would be required to submit a 2-3 minute video of their performance with minimum 5 dancers. On the basis of the video, teams will be selected for direct entry to finals.
Judging: Sole judging criterion would be choreography, energy and overall impact.
Video Recordings should be uploaded on www.youtube.com or any other such website and the video link (accompanied by the name of the college, details of the participant) should be sent as a mail to dance@incident.in. Last day has been extended to 25th of February.
The shortlisted teams will be sent a confirmation mail soon after 25th of February and they should confirm their participation by 27th of February by sending in an email to dance@incident.in.
The finals:
Participants are free to choose any theme and perform a sequence on the theme.
Team size: Minimum of 8 members(including 2 music assistants).
Time limit: 6+2 minutes.
Styles: Contemporary,Traditional,Folk.
Judging Criteria: Choreography, Concept and Depiction, Synchronization, Stage utilization, Costumes, Overall impact.
Rules:
- All forms of Indian Classical Dance are permitted including folk dances and other ethnic renditions.
- Only one team per college is permitted. However, if the quality of dance is up-to-the mark and competitive, more than one team may be shortlisted from a college.
- A minimum of 6 dancers should be on the stage at a time.
- Pre-recorded music should be brought in a pen drive in .mp3 format only (Other formats may not be supported on the computer) and has to be submitted at the registration desk before the start of the event compulsorily.
- Teams must follow the Time Limits. Teams shall be penalized by judges for not doing so.
- Any kind of fluid, flame or heavy object is not allowed on stage.
- Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
- The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
